Second Lieutenant ETHELBERT HORATIO NELSON of the 4th Battalion The Queen's (Royal West Surrey Regiment) died on 18 November 1916, aged 31.

He is buried and remembered in Stump Road cemetery, Grandcourt.

Location of Memorial:
His name appeared on the memorial at Malvern House School, Lewisham Park, which was destroyed in an air raid during the Second World War. He is also remembered on the war memorial at the church of St Mary the Virgin, Lewisham and in the pages of the History of The Old Dunstonian Rugby Football Club.

Details:
He was the son of the late Edward Nelson and of Fanny Nelson, of 97, Culverley Rd., Catford. He was educated at Malvern House School and St Dunstan's College, Catford.
