Pilot Officer HERBERT REGINALD NASH Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve died on 25 July 1942 while serving with 230 Squadron. At this time the squadron was based in Egypt flying Sunderland flying boats on reconnaissance and anti-submarine patrols over the Mediterranean.

He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Alamein Memorial.

He is also remembered in the book of remembrance in Addey and Stanhope school in Deptford.

He was 22 years old, the son of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Nash, of Brockley.
