Private 15600 JOHN DOUGLAS FARQUHARSON MURRAY, 1st Battalion the Royal Fusiliers died on 4 December 1914, aged 19. Tragically he was killed by the accidental discharge of a comrade's gun while it was being cleaned.

He is buried in Cite Bonjean Military Cemetery, Armentieres.

He is remembered on the memorials at Brockley School and St Paul's Church Deptford.

Details:
He was the son of John and Mary Murray of 88 Manor Road, Brockley.
