War Service:
Private 722604 EDWIN MUGGERIDGE of the 1st/24th (County of London) Battalion the London Regiment, (The Queen’s) was killed in action on 7 June 1917.
He enlisted on 25 November 1915 and was posted to the 3rd Battalion of The Queens on 9 May 1916. He transferred to the 1st Battalion on 12 December 1916.

He has no known grave and is commemorated on the on the Menin Gate at Ypres.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the memorial at the church of St George, Brockley, now the Brockley Elim Baptist church.

He was born on 22 November 1897, the son of Mr and Mrs Thomas Muggeridge of 251 Brockley Road.
He worked as a shop assistant in the Lewisham branch of Sainsbury's.
