Morrison, William George

War Service: William George Morrison served as a Private with the 6th Battalion King's Royal Rifle Corps and his service number was 40668. He died on 5th March 1918, aged 25.

Location of Memorial:He is buried in Brockley cemetery, where his name is recorded on the screen wall listing those whose graves have no headstone.

Details: William George Morrison was born between July and September 1892. In 1911 he was recorded living at 15 Speedwell Street, Deptford with his parents George and Mary and his siblings Daniel, Johanna and Katherine. He was employed as a labourer.

He married Maud Free on 28th September 1913 at St Johns Church, Deptford. He was employed as a labourer and was living at 53 Vanguard Street, Deptford. They had three children Agnes, Maud and Mary.
