Sub-Divisional Inspector LINDSAY FREDERICK MOORS of the Royal Marine Police was killed on the night of 19 March 1941 in an air raid on the Royal Victoria Victualling Yard in Deptford.

Location of Memorial:
He is buried in Eastcote Lane cemetery, Harrow and remembered on the war memorial near the gates of the former Royal Victoria Victualling Yard, Deptford.

Details:
He was 45. He was the son of Frederick and Anne Moors and husband of Violet Elizabeth Moors. He lived in South Harrow. He was posthumously awarded the King’s Commendation for Brave Conduct for his work that night.
