Second Lieutenant William Joseph Moore, 2nd Brigade, Royal Field Artillery was killed in action on the 21st March 1918 aged 32. He was the son of James and Margaret Moore of 72 St. Fillans Road, Catford, and the husband of Hilda Moore of 6 Victoria Avenue, Surbiton – they had one child. At the time of his death he had only been in France one week.

He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Arras Memorial, France.

He is remembered on the memorials at St Andrew's Church, Catford.

He was the son of James and Margaret Moore of 72 St. Fillans Road, Catford, and the husband of Hilda Moore of 6 Victoria Avenue, Surbiton – they had one child. He was the brother of Sydney Alfred Moore, who died in 1916.
