Lance Corporal 3428 HENRY EDWIN WALTER MOORE of No 4 Company Australian Machine Gun Corps died of broncho-pneumonia on 6 February 1919 in the 1st Australian General Hospital at Sutton Veny in Wiltshire. He was aged 28.

He is buried in the churchyard of the church of St John at Sutton Veny

Location of Memorial:
Although there is no obvious connection with the area his name appears on the memorial at the Church of St James, Hatcham.

Details:
When he enlisted on 12 July 1915 in Victoria he gave his occupation as blacksmith. He served as a shoeing smith in Egypt and France. He was the son of Robert and Elizabeth Moore and husband of Alice Ellen Moore, of Bunyip, Victoria.
