Private G/61793 FRED MONK of 13th battalion Royal Fusiliers died of wounds on 11 April 1917, aged 38. He had previously served with the Middlesex Regiment.

He is buried in Duisans British Cemetery, Etrun.

Location of Memorial:
He is also remembered on the Sydenham South Suburban Gas Works war memorial.

Details:
He was the son of Joseph and Emily Monk, of Painswick, Stroud, Gloucestershire and husband of Amy Monk, of 12 St. Aubyn's Road, Upper Norwood.
