Minuto, Theodore Joseph

War Service:
Rifleman 4680 THEODORE JOSEPH MINUTO of 1/16th battalion London Regiment (Queen’s Westminster Rifles) was killed in action on 1 July 1916, the first day of the Battle of the Somme. The battalion took part in the attack on the fortified village of Gommecourt and lost 28 officers and 475 other ranks.

He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial to the Missing of the Somme

He is remembered on the war memorial in the church of St George, Catford.

He was 23 years old, the son of Theodore and May. Minuto, of 27, Hoppingwood Avenue, New Malden.
