GEORGE EDWARD, MINSTER, aged 51 husband of M. L. Minster, of 302 Shroffold Road, Bromley, Kent. Died 28 July 1944, at Lewisham High Street VI incident. A motor fitter he worked on Motor Antar vehicle engines, he was also District Secretary to the National Deposit Friendly Society (Grove Park District). He is buried at Plaistow, Kent Cemetery.

He is remembered on the Lewisham Roll of Honour for Civilian War Dead and on the Roll of Honour at St John the Baptist Church, Southend
Details:
He had returned from Royston, where he had been staying for a short break with his wife and son for treatment to a leg injury at Lewisham Hospital when he was killed by the flying bomb.
