Company Sergeant Major REGINALD ARTHUR MINES of ‘B’ company, 17th battalion, Royal Fusiliers was killed in action on 26 June 1917 near La Bassée. He enlisted in 1914.

He is buried in Beuvry Communal Cemetery Extension.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the war memorial at St Hilda’s church, Brockley.

Details:
He was 26 years old, the son of Richard James and Ellen Margaret Mines, of 8, Buckthorne Rd., Crofton Park. He was educated at the Roan School, Greenwich.
His father later served as Hon Sec to the war memorial committee.
