Millgate, Frederick Henry

Sapper 17303 FREDERICK HENRY MILLGATE of 12 Field Company, Royal Engineers was killed in action on 9 August 1915, aged 28. He enlisted in the Territorial Army in 1908 and was called to the colours on the outbreak of war, going to France on 8 September 1914.

He has no known grave and is remembered on the Menin Gate in Ypres

He is also remembered on the memorial in St Mark’s church, Deptford.

Details:
He was the son of the late William George Millgate and husband of Emily Charlotte Millgate. He was a carpenter by trade.
