Bombardier DONALD JAMES MILLARD of 91 Field Regiment, Royal Artillery died on 18 April 1944.

He is buried in Beach Head War Cemetery, Anzio. The cemetery was close to a Casualty Clearing Station and it is therefore probable that he died of wounds.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the memorial to the 91 and 139 Field Regiment, Royal Artillery in St Swithun’s church, Hither Green.

Details:
He was 24, the son of Sydney and Mabel Millard. He married Mona Webb in Southport, Lancashire in the spring of 1941.
