Second Lieutenant ARTHUR EDMUND MASON of ‘C’ company, 8th (City of London) battalion London Regiment (Post Office Rifles) was killed in action on 8 August 1918, aged 19.

He is buried in Dive Copse British Cemetery, Sailly-le-Sec.

He is remembered on the war memorial at St John’s church, Lewisham Way.

Details:
He was the son of Arthur and Minnie Mason of 43, Tyrwhitt Rd., Brockley.
