Lieutenant CYRIL BASNETT MARTIN of 21st battalion London Regiment (First Surrey Rifles) was killed in action on 30 March 1918.
He is buried in Damascus Commonwealth War Cemetery.

Details:
He was 30 years old, the son of Martin James and Emily Hannah Martin, of Lee. On 30 September 1911 in Blackheath Congregational Church he married Violet Lucy Andrews. They lived at 79, Micheldever Rd., Lee. He was employed as a stockbroker’s clerk.
