Gunner 693 SIDNEY ROBERT MAHER of 1/4th (London) Howitzer Brigade, Royal Field Artillery died of wounds on 16 October 1917. He is buried in Boulogne Eastern Cemetery. Throughout the war there were numerous military hospitals in the Boulogne area and it seems likely that Sidney Maher died in one of them.
