Lokander, Eric Stanley

Spring of 1893 to 21 August 1915

War Service:
Private 819 Eric Stanley Lokander served with ‘B’ Squadron 3rd County of London Yeomanry (The Sharpshooters) and died on 21 August 1915, aged 22.

He is buried in Green Hill Cemetery in Gallipoli.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the memorials at St Peter’s church, Brockley and St Mary the Virgin, Lewisham. His name also appeared on the memorial at Malvern House School, Lewisham Park, which was destroyed in an air raid during the Second World War.

Details:
He was born in Lewisham in the Spring of 1893, the son of Mr. and Mrs. B. D. Lokander, of 70, Canadian Avenue. Catford.
