Rifleman R/27317 CHARLES ROBERT LOCKER of 8th battalion Kings Royal Rifle Corps was killed in action on 24 August 1917.

He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial.

Location of Memorial:
He is also remembered on the roll of honour of St Mark’s church, Clarendon Rise The church tower was destroyed during WW2 and the rest of the building demolished in 1980 and the roll is now displayed in St Stephen’s church.

Details:
He was32 years old, the son of Maria Locker, of Greenwich and husband of Alice M. Locker, of 14, Orchard Hill, Lewisham.
