Sergeant FREDERICK WILLIAM LLOYD of the Royal Marine Police was killed on the night of 19 March 1941 in an air raid on the Royal Victoria Victualling Yard in Deptford.
Location of Memorial:
He is buried in Grove Park cemetery where his name appears on the screen wall with others whose graves are not marked by headstones. He is also remembered on the war memorial near the gates of the former Royal Victoria Victualling Yard, Deptford.
Details:
He was 50. He was posthumously awarded the King’s Commendation for Brave Conduct for his work that night.
