Flying Officer LEMUEL GEORGE LITTELL Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve died on 1 February 1943 while serving with 226 Squadron. His Douglas Boston light bomber ' MQ-A' was lost off the coast of East Anglia while on an air test.
He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Air Forces Memorial at Runnymede.

He was the son of Lemuel and Julia Littell, and husband of Margaret Littell, of Kenton, Middlesex.
