Private 63244 PHILIP LING of 10th battalion Royal Fusiliers died on 18 November 1916, aged 35.

He is buried in Knightsbridge Cemetery, Mesnil-Martinsart near Albert.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the war memorials at St Cyprian’s church, Brockley and the Sydenham, Forest Hill & District Tradesmen’s Benefit Society.

Details:
He was the son of Mr. W. B. and Mrs. E. M. Ling of 42, Endwell Rd., Brockley. Before the war he is believed to have been a printer.
