Sergeant PERCY A LESTER RAF died on 28 August 1918 while serving with 97 Squadron. At this time the squadron was flying Handley Page 0/400s from Xaffer-Villers on night bombing operations.

He is buried in Charmes Military Cemetery, Essegney in the Vosges area of France.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the memorial at St. Hilda’s church, Brockley.

Details:
He is believed to have been born in Greenwich in the spring of 1897.
