Sergeant (Air Bomber) 1396732 TOM EDMUND WYNN LATTER Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve died on 22 June 1943, aged 19 while serving with 101 Squadron.

His Avro Lancaster ED650 ‘SR-L’ took off from RAF Ludford Magna in Lincolnshire to bomb Krefeld but crashed near Monchengladbach.

He is buried in Rheinberg War Cemetery, Germany.

He is also remembered on the memorial at Holy Trinity church, Sydenham and on the 101 Squadron Roll of Honour in Ludford parish church.

Details:
He was the son of William Walter Latter, and of Ethel Mary Latter (nee Price), of Sydenham.
