War Service:
WILLIAM LAMBETH, First Mate of the tug J W Thompson, is presumed to have died on 28 February 1917. The vessel was on passage from Cardiff to Kola Bay and was last heard from on this date. She was formally recorded by the Admiralty as Presumed Lost on 18 July 1917.

He was lost at sea and is commemorated on the Merchant Navy Memorial on Tower Hill.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered in the Book of Remembrance at St Saviour Forest Hill.

Details:
He was the husband of Julia Roberts Lambeth (nee Dickens), of 3, Ballina St., Honor Oak Park. He was born in Norway in 1861.
