Lance Corporal 631037 WILLIAM E KITCH of 20th (Blackheath and Woolwich) battalion, London Regiment died on 1 October 1918.

He is buried and remembered in Cross Roads Cemetery, Fontaine-au-Bois near Le Cateau. He was one of eleven British soldiers who were originally buried in Bavay German Cemetery but relocated here after the Armistice.

He is also remembered on the war memorial at Trinity Congregational church, Catford. and on 20th London Regiment Roll of Honour

Details:
He was 26 years old, the son of Edwin and Elizabeth Kitch, of Camberwell.
