Private EDWARD KEHLSTADT of 31st battalion Middlesex Regiment died on 20 October 1918, aged 34. Works battalions were lines of communication troops employed on moving stores, repairing roads, etc. At the end of the war the 31st battalion was based in Croydon.
He is buried in grave G.369 in Ladywell cemetery.

He is remembered on the war memorial at St Mary’s church, Lewisham.
Details:
He married Blanche Mymie Wyatt in the spring of 1909. They lived at 53 Canadian Avenue, Catford.
