Private 203250 WALTER GEORGE JUDD of 2/4th battalion Queen's Own (Royal West Kent Regiment) was killed in action on 4 November 1917, aged 22.

On 4 November 3 officers and 40 other ranks from the RWK were killed in an attack on a feature known as Hill 1250, to forestall a Turkish counter attack on the town of Beersheba which had been taken on 31 October.

He is buried in Beersheba War Cemetery, Israel.

He is also remembered on the Sydenham South Suburban Gas Works war memorial.

He was the son of William and Edith Judd of the Cottage, Gas Works, Bromley.
