Second Lieutenant TREVOR BLAKE JOLLY of the 3rd Battalion East Surrey Regiment died on 20 September 1917, aged 23.
At the time of his death he was on attachment to the 12th ( Bermondsey) Battalion of the regiment. The London Gazette of 16 March 1915 announced that he had been commissioned from the Officer Training Corps as a 2nd Lieutenant in the 3rd East Surreys.

He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial

He is remembered on the memorial in St Bartholomew’s church, Sydenham.

Details:
He was born in Sydenham and educated at Marlborough. He married Catherine Riley of 48 Fulham Road, in Chelsea in the spring of 1917.
