Lieutenant (A) LESLIE ALBERT JOHNSON, Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve, died of an illness on 9 May 1944, aged 23. At the time of his death he was attached to H.M.S.Bherunda. This was the Royal Naval Air Station at Colombo race course in Ceylon (Sri Lanka) and served as the administrative depot for Fleet Air Arm personnel.

He is buried in Kirkee War Cemetery near Poona in India.

He is remembered on the memorial at Christ Church, Forest Hill.

He was the son of Albert and Rosina Johnson, of Forest Hill.
