War Service:
Private JESSUP, Cornelius James [Initial J only on CWGC] 38219 16th Battalion The Queen's (Royal West Surrey Regiment). He died aged 26 on the 15 December 1916.

He is buried at Hither Green, Cemetery where he is remembered on a headstone [B. 923]

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the war memorial at Christ Church, Lee.

He was born in the autumn of 1890 in the Sevenoaks RD and was the son of Cornelius and Harriett Jessup [nee Martin Married autumn 1889 in the Dartford RD], of 16, Turner Road, Lee.
