Lieutenant SIDNEY JAMES JENNINGS of 3rd battalion East Surrey Regiment was killed in action on 30 March 1918, aged 34. At the time of his death he was attached to a Field Survey Company of the Royal Engineers.

He is buried in Hangard Communal Cemetery Extension, near Villers-Brettoneux.

Location of Memorial:
He was also commemorated on the memorial which stood in Monson Road in New Cross.

Details:
He was the son of Albert and Elizabeth Jennings and husband of Esther Dorothea Jennings, of 22, Trebovir Rd., Earl's Court. They married in Greenwich in the spring of 1910.
