War Service:
Stoker 1st Class WILLIAM JOHN IMESON died of tuberculosis on 26 May 1944, aged 39. Prior to his illness he had served on the Hunt class destroyer HMS Brocklesby.

He is buried in Hither Green cemetery where his name is remembered on a grave stone.

Location of Memorial:
He and his wife Lillian had moved from Lee to Kemsing in Kent on the outbreak of war and he is remembered on the village war memorial.
