Gunner 1772177 EDWARD GEORGE HOWE of No. 2 Battery, 1st Maritime Anti Aircraft Regiment, Royal Artillery died on 20 February 1943, aged 31. The Maritime Anti-Aircraft Regiment was formed in 1941 to man the weapons on Defensively Armed Merchant Ships (DEMS).

Location of Memorial:

He is buried in Hither Green cemetery where his name is recorded on the CWGC Memorial Wall listing those whose graves have no headstone.

Details:
He was the son of Fredrick and Alice Howe and husband of Violet Elizabeth Howe of Hither Green. They married in Lewisham in the autumn of 1935.
