Second Lieutenant John Hamilton Morris HOOPER was killed in action on 30 November 1917 age 26 while serving with "A" Company, 1/16 Battalion (Queen's Westminster Rifles), London Regiment. He was commissioned into the London Regiment on 19 December 1916.

He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Moeuvres Communal Cemetery Extension Memorial

He is remembered on the memorials at St Andrew's Church, Catford

Details:
He was the son of G.W. Giffard Hooper and Felinda Hooper of "Mirimar", Crofts Leal Park, Ilfracombe, Devon. He was born at the Royal Naval College, Greenwich.
