War Service: John Holland served as a corporal with the Royal Army Service Corps and his service number was T/13345. He died on 11th February 1945, aged 36.
Location of Memorial: He is buried in Brockley cemetery, where his name is recorded on the screen wall listing those whose graves have no headstone.
Details: John Holland was born in 1909 to William and Catherine Holland.
In 1911 he was recorded living at 82 Watergate Street, Deptford with his parents and four brothers William, Frederick, Joseph and James.
He married Jessie Sullivan between April and June 1933. They had four children John, Mary, Patricia and Colin. Colin was born just after his father’s death.
In 1938 John and Jessie were living at 8 Hughes House in the borough of Greenwich.
