War Service:
Private 60158 HERBERT JOHN HISCOCK of 16th battalion Royal Welsh Fusiliers died on 22 April 1918. He had previously served for 13 years in the Army Service Corps and took part in the retreat of the BEF from Mons. He was discharged from the army in 1915 but rejoined in 1916. At the time of his death he was serving as a signaller.

He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Pozieres Memorial.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered in the Book of Remembrance in the church of St Saviour Forest Hill.

Details:
He was 31, the son of George Hiscock and husband of Alice Mary Hiscock, of 11A, Ebsworth St., Honor Oak Park.
