Lieutenant WILLIAM PUGH HINDS 15th battalion, Royal Welsh Fusiliers died of wounds on 2 February 1916, aged 19. He was gazetted as a lieutenant in January 1915.

He is buried in Merville Communal Cemetery near Bethune.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the memorial at Blackheath Congregational Church.

Details:
He was the son of John Hinds, MP, of Neuadd-Deg, Carmarthen. According to The Times his father was informed of his death while attending the Drapers’ Chamber of Trade where his re-election as president had just been proposed.
