Lance-Corporal Robert Highgate Service number 10395 of the 2nd Btn East Lancashire Regiment was in Africa with his Regiment, at the beginning of the War. He returned to England and went to the Front in 1915. He was killed in action30 January 1915 aged 24.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the Le Touret Memorial, Panel 18. His name is locally remembered here on the St Laurence's Memorial, Catford.
