Signalman 2584011 JOHN ARTHUR HEAVENS of III Corps Signals died on 28 May 1945. Although serving with the Royal Signals, at the time of his death he was attached to the Royal Artillery.

He is buried in Caestre Communal Cemetery near Hazebrouck.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the memorial to 91 and 139 Field Regiment, Royal Artillery in St Swithun’s church, Hither Green.

Details:
He was 20, the son of Henry James Heavens and Elizabeth Ellen Heavens, of Wallington, Surrey.
