Hasler, Gordon Beverley

War Service:
Second Lieutenant GORDON BEVERLEY HASLER of the 9th battalion Bedfordshire Regiment was killed in action on 26 June 1916, aged 19.
At the time of his death he was serving with ‘C’ company of the 7th battalion which he joined in France on 27 May. He was one of two junior officers killed by shellfire while resting in the company mess.

He is buried in Carnoy Military Cemetery

He is remembered on the war memorial at St Peter’s church, Brockley.

Details:
He was the son of John and Jessie Hasler of 68, Lonsdale Rd., Barnes. He was born in Greenwich in the spring of 1897.
