Harvey, Frank Ernest

Dates: 1897-1915

War Service: Frank Ernest Harvey enlisted on 11th June 1914 and served as a Private in 1st Battalion The Buffs (East Kent Regiment). His service number was S/10650. He died on 15th September 1915 and is commemorated on Thiepval memorial.

Details: Frank Ernest Harvey was born c 1897 to James and Margaret Harvey of Deptford. On the 1911 census he was recorded living at 76 Douglas Street Deptford with his mother and sister, Norah.

At the time of his enlistment in 1914 he was employed as a rivet carrier. He was recorded as being 5ft 5 inches tall and weighed 110lbs and had brown eyes and fair hair. He gave his religion as Roman Catholic.
