War Service:
Private Stewart Percy Hardy, 2nd/20th (County of London) Battalion (Blackheath and Woolwich), London Regiment, died of wounds on 27 September 1915, aged 19. He arrived in France on the 19th August 1915, and died five weeks later.

He is buried and remembered in the Noux-Les-Mines Communal Cemetery, France.

He is remembered on the memorials at St Andrew's Church, Catford and also on the 20th London Regiment Roll of Honour

Details:
He was the eldest son of Frederick and Annie Hardy of 57 Hafton Road, Catford. He was educated at the Plassy Road Council School and prior to the war he worked for Messrs H.B. Legg and Co. of Canon Street.
