Private GS/92416 JAMES HARDING of 3rd battalion the London Regiment (Royal Fusiliers) was killed in action on 1 September 1918.

He is buried in Sailly-Saillisel British Cemetery near Bapaume.

The village of Sailly-Saillisel was captured on 18 October 1916 and remained in Allied hands until 24 March 1918 when it was lost during the German advance. It was recaptured on 1 September 1918.

He is remembered on the Sydenham South Suburban Gas Works war memorial.
