War Service:
Private Bertie G HADINGHAM of 1/6th battalion Essex Regiment contracted dysentery while serving in Gallipoli and died in Alexandria on 17 December 1915, aged 25.

He is buried in Alexandria (Chatby) Military and War Memorial Cemetery, Egypt.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the Southend on Sea Borough war memorial and the memorial at Goldsmiths College, New Cross. His name also appeared on the Norfolk Teachers Memorial formerly in County Hall, Norwich.

Details:
He was the son of Hedley and Catherine Hadingham, of Carleton Forehoe, Wymondham, Norfolk.
