Lance Corporal R/33455 PHILIP LEWIS GROOM of 13th Battalion King's Royal Rifle Corps died on 4 May 1917, aged 25.

He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial.

Location of Memorial:
He is also remembered on the and r memorial at St Bartholomew’s church, Sydenham. His brother Noel also appears on the memorial.

Details:
He was born in Hornsey, the son of John and Florence Groom and lived in Streatham.
