Sergeant Leonard Edgar Green [service number 1755 later 560247] served with the Royal Engineers. His citation for the Distinguished Conduct Medal was in the London Gazette 3rd June 1916: For consistent gallantry and good work when maintaining telegraphic communications, notably during a period of heavy bombardment.

Location of Memorial:
He was commemorated on the memorial at Holy Cross Catholic Church, which has mostly been destroyed.
