Private 43674 SIDNEY JOHN GORBOLD of 73 Company, Machine Gun Corps was killed on 31 August 1916 in the fighting for Delville Wood.

He has no known grave and is remembered on the Thiepval Memorial to the Missing of the Somme.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the Roll of Service in Deptford Town Hall.

Details:
He was born in Woolwich in 1898.
