Goodall, Edward Orme Clement

War Service:
Lieutenant EDWARD ORME CLEMENT (‘Teddy’) GOODALL of 23 Brigade, Royal Field Artillery died of the effects of gas on 9 November 1917.

He is buried in Mendinghem Military Cemetery.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the war memorial in Bembridge, Isle of Wight and on the memorials at Holy Trinity, Bembridge and St Augustine’s, Grove Park.

Details:
He was born in Richmond in 1894. He was the son of Mr and Mrs Frank C Goodall of Hawkesville, Lee on Solent. His father was superintendent of Trinity House lightships. His brother Frank Basil Goodall was killed in action in August 1915.

Although his service record no longer exists the WW1 medal roll shows the same next of kin as Frank's.
