Private G/24765 ERNEST WILLIE GOLDUP of 16th (Service) battalion Middlesex Regiment died on 2 January 1918, probably of illness or wounds.
He is buried in St Sever Cemetery Extension, Rouen. Most of the burials in this cemetery were of men who died in the numerous military hospitals around Rouen.

He is remembered on the war memorial at the church of St Luke, Deptford.

He was born in March 1890 in Buckland, Dover, the son of William and Caroline Goldup.
